THE GOVERNMENT PLANED TO PROMOTE THE NEW ENERGY INDUSTRY BY SUBSIDIZATION AND EXEMPTION OF COMMODITY TAX
 
To strengthen the capacity of green energy industry, in April 2009, the Executive Yuan has particularly integrated the "Green Energy Fields" into the six emerging industries which were focused by the government for developing national economy. To speed up the progress of industry development, the government will raise the research budget from 5 to 10 billion NT dollars and submit the "New National flag plan of Energy Industry" which will converge all resources on solar electricity and LED illumination industries for developing the energy industry in the future…

THE TAIWAN FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION WILL BE ESTABLISHED
 
The Legislative Yuan, after the third reading on May 12, 2009 has passed the "Organization Rules of the Food and Drug Administration," for the purposes of strengthening the surveillance of the food and drug as well as coordinating authorities and executive capability, cooperating with the policy of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry development, enlarging the examination and research quality, and concerning about citizen´s health and consumer´s rights. After, announcement of the "Taiwan biotechnology action plan" by Executive Yuan on March 26, 2009, the government will establish the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration, which will refer to the US rules for establishing the Executive Yuan Food and Drug Administration and will also plan to combine the three units which were previously under the Executive Yuan Department of Health into one…
